My name is Sabine Kangombe. I am originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and I have lived in Portland for the past three years. I speak French, Lingala, Swahili, and English.

I am a nurse and massage therapist from home. I have worked in hospitals and orphanages for the last eight years before I left my country. I enjoy music, and sometimes the quietness of home. I trust God as the ruler of all, and I love people who accept my in their lives as a human being.

I have been connected to MAIN by the New Mainers Resource Center Coordinator in 2016, and ever since, I enjoy working as a Community Health Worker. I enjoy helping people in my community the best that I can, and being the connection between people and providers in order for the people in the communities we serve to have a better living.

My goal is to see them satisfied by the service I can provide as a CHW, as small as that service may be. This is my greatest joy.
