My name is Christian Bisimwa. I am originally from Democratic Republic of Congo. I am married and I have two sons and two daughters. I speak French, Swahili, Lingala and Sango (a language spoken in Central-Africa in Bangui).
I have a bachelor’s degree in International Trade and I used to work for a Network Marketing company before I joined the MAIN team.
I love working here at MAIN because we serve people from different origins, cultures and religions.
To me, MAIN means connections and getting help in your own language. As a CHOW I serve as a bridge to help people get access to resources for basic needs. I have helped a lot of people who have never had health insurance get enrolled in the marketplace. I enjoy being able to contribute to the integration of the immigrant community to the greater Portland community.
